“Searching for Lt. David Hunter: Proctor MIA” by Mathew P. Kennedy; a quest for answers to his Uncle’s fate, reported missing in action in 1942.

In 1990 Mr. Kennedy travelled to the New Guinea area looking for evidence that might provide information and closure to a family’s loss. Keeping a diary of his visit, with accompanying photos, it provides a fascinating account.

As a result of his findings he was able to establish a case with the Department of Defense POW/MIA agency, bringing an end of years of speculation. In 2013 he compiled this personal record for his family.
